The one day summer music festival that travels from city to city across the U.S. bringing together kids, teenagers and parents from all across the state just hit Michigan. And it is something about thousands of people standing together in a parking lot jamming out to music that makes Vans Warped Tour what it is.
Concerts where you go in knowing little about what the crowd or music will be like is one of my favorite ways to find new music. Some of my new favorite artists have come from opening acts I knew nothing about. For me, I knew very little about CHON before seeing them in Detroit last week and quickly I grew to become a big fan.
Vans Warped Tour will be kicking off its twenty-second year on June 16 in Seattle, WA. The national festival will travel to 38 cities, coast-to-coast over two months and close out on August 6 in Pomona, CA.
